Ashley works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, substance misuse, grief and loss, life transitions, and chronic or serious illness. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion, resilience, and hope.
My Story
I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 13 years of experience working in the field of social work. I’ve served clients in a variety of different settings including both inpatient and outpatient. I received my bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Kentucky in 2008 and obtained my graduate degree in social work from Campbellsville University in 2013. I obtained my ACHP-SW (Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Social Worker) certification in 2013. Much of my professional career has been spent working in a Hospice setting working alongside patients and families. I also have experience working in the clinical setting serving clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and/or substance misuse. I joined Whitsell Counseling in October 2021 after obtaining my LCSW. I have a deep passion for helping clients from all different walks of life and in all different stages become the best version of themselves.
